Thanks! I've never had a frozen color before and don't want to alter the finish. The dealer even recommended against doing a film, or at least their option. Do you have any recommendations?

Oh good lord. The dealer is an idiot—the PPF has zero effect on the finish. These frozen colors cannot be repaired. I've tried 4 shops from WA to FL and not one of them will even take the job on. Since they cannot be repaired, protect them. Mine is now protected but it's a bit too late.
Get paint protection film immediately—it's an absolute must. I'm living the aftermath.

limeypride is correct. The dealer doesn't know what he is saying. I picked up my M8 comp last month and PPF'd it. When I went to pick it up from the shop 3 days later I literally thought they hadn't done the job. Even upon close inspection I couldn't see the film until I found the wrap edges stealthily hidden around the car.
Use a stealth wrap for your frozen paint. Doesn't alter the color or look. Remains the same and you get the protection you need.
