Isn't Antelope, Oregon, where that big cult came through and decimated the place? After taking over the city and renaming it "Rajneesh", they tried to take over the county and state. Mass poisoning, plot to assassinate a US Attorney, murder, fraud. Terrible story.

Terrible is right. A sad chapter in Oregon's history. The Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh bought a ranch about 18 miles outside of Antelope after coming to the US for back surgery in 1981 (it was never performed, he and his cult were fleeing India). Followers sold all their possessions, gave him their money and moved to the ranch. The population exceeded 7,000 at one point. They overwhelmed the little town of Antelope and took over all the elected positions. He also acquired 93 Rolls-Royces. So, I guess he was a car guy. After 4 years of mayhem, he and his lieutenant were eventually arrested and deported. He went back to India and died in 1990 at age 58. The ranch in now a Christian camp.
