The Cannonball has been going on for nearly 50 years, yet to hear that story or hear about the "Bad rap" among the general population. They literally made movies on it.
Every single person on this forum of car enthusiasts is just as likely to earn a bad wrap by not signaling, driving too fast, and having exhaust's too loud.
This would be like saying "wait till people find out how bad alcohol is when it kills someone".
