The information was murky on the stop-sale order presumably because BMW is not yet sure what the root cause or fix is. So I couldn't buy the car tonight. I have to wait till BMW gives further instructions to the dealer on what the fix is... hopefully it's programming and not a new part we have to wait for, or worse, engineered.
Others who are picking up their cars and haven't yet, be forewarned! And if anyone has more information, please post up here...

Love the color. Very disappointing about the stop sale. Hopefully we can get some info quick so us current owners know if the car is safe to drive. Taking mine in for the 1200 mile service in two weeks so hopefully they have some answers.
Anyway good luck and hopefully a quick resolution for you!
