ARGH. So my car landed today, and my SA bumped it to the front of the line for PDI. He's a good dude.

Pulled up, saw the beautiful girl. Super excited.
I was literally with the SA and he was walking me through the car while F&I was getting the papers ready... when SA got a phone call from the Manager. In the time that the car was delivered from the port of Baltimore to the dealership - just one day - BMW has issued a stop-sale on all 5ers [correction: F90's] and some additional [M] models for some sort of emissions issue with the fuel tank. The information was murky on the stop-sale order presumably because BMW is not yet sure what the root cause or fix is. So I couldn't buy the car tonight. I have to wait till BMW gives further instructions to the dealer on what the fix is... hopefully it's programming and not a new part we have to wait for, or worse, engineered.

Others who are picking up their cars and haven't yet, be forewarned! And if anyone has more information, please post up here...
