I was at Goodwood earlier this year and was surprised just how quiet the M3 was in comparison to other cars (Audi R8 and Ferrari 458 in particular were loud). Trouble is, to appeal to ordinary buyers, BMW make the cars so quiet and this will be true of a grand tourer like the 6 series/M6. I could imagine replacing the exhaust on the M6 as soon as it is purchased!
