Off the flat tire/ nail topic: A more valid reason to move to go-flat tires is to achieve improved ride quality; depending on the brand/type of tire the difference/improvement in ride can be quite significant.

Food for thought when your current tires are nearing end of life.

Of course, without carrying a spare the Runflats offer an advantage over regular tire when they encounter a nail or the like.

(Couple years ago when I was shopping used X3's I drove several cars fitted with runflats, pretty stiff/harsh ride...ended up buying car fitted with regular tires)
