I think the CS badge finally means something, like catchpole said at the end of the video. The F82 M4 GTS was vastly misunderstood, depreciated alot, and people didn't buy them. This caused people to be upset at the price of the F80/F82 M3/M4 CS cars.
- Then the M2 CS came out, lots of negative perception about how it was so expensive and just some carbon bits. Its a huge leap on from the other M2s in my opinion, and its still impossible to convince an M2C owner of that.
- Now the M5 CS came out, and its a big leap on from a regular M5C (a larger leap then the M2/M3/M4 CS is on paper). I wish they made more of them so the markups didn't take hold.
The reality is, anyone with a CS badged BMW, you have an all time great car and just enjoy it hell out of it. Life is too short to worry about about depreciation and collectibility of sedans and coupes.
BMW makes the greatest cars in the world now, everyone else is playing for 2nd.
