I beg to differ - 135i in oz can be had for less than AUD $72k - brand new incl all on road costs.

Note also, that the so called "standard car" in oz is very heavily optioned when compared to say UK. Standard equipement incl:

Xenon, leather, electric seats, aircon, msport pack, bluetooth, etc just check
