My take
It's beautiful but personally don't thinks it's that exotic, despite being super unique! Not sure about 5200$, not going there, whether as an IDIVIDUAL BMW COLOR IS worth it or not! That's very subjective!

I would guess that when the E36 M3 came out that this color was enhanced in two ways.. one darker ( cosmos Schwartz ) and one more purple. ( Daytona violet and Techno violet )
BMW revived it for the f80 M3 30 Jahre edition models.
