My initial impressions before break-in, comparing a back to back test drive with a M5 C LCI

Now after break in, 2700 miles and a good 40 minutes in the twisties and some highway pulls:

Suspension & Steering
Its a wide car, but feels agile- feels like I can use telepathy to know where my front wheels are going to go - much like my M4 GTS but much more comfortable. As I mentioned before, the rear wheels - its longer than F82 platform - but it felt like I had longer legs and I can feel and control where those legs are are.
Smaller steering wheel in alcantara; feedback is really, really good.
Best way to express it, is as if you're wearing wearing thin white gloves, while the M5 competition - you're wearing winter thick gloves

Transmission: with DCT, I can time my shift at exactly at redline - this ZF transmission- I have to shift a milisecond ealier, and downshifts are bit slower than DCT, but less jerky and upshifts are just as good as any BMW DCT out there. Also have to re-think when to shift as there are 8 gears numbers and you have to shift earlier with ratios being shorter than 7 speed DCT.

Power: easy to hit redline- because power builds up so linear, with no sense of power loss inches to the redline. 2nd gear feels too short, and 3rd gear is the strongest power band and you can feel the speed build up very well through 4th, 5th, 6th, unlike the isolated F10 M5.
Punching the gas- there is a short delay in automatic mode but once it goes, it goes! Lost twice to a tuned ZL1 1LE by using auto. Once I went manual (in 3rd) he was car lengths behind!

Launch Control: Absolute freight train.. but quirky.
Launch control for this car is in manual mode; BUT DONT SHIFT GEARS YOURSELF! Doing so screws it up and technically takes it out of launch control and I find myself screwing up the upshifts and redlining because everything happens so fast from 2nd to 3rd
1st gear to 2nd gear definitley had me made waiting for the "punch"- but then all pf a sudeen, it suprises you and hits you hard from from 2nd to 3rd

Dampening- (Pirelli Zero 4 (PZ4 OEM)You feel the contours of the tarmac, but at the same time it just glides over it like a thin film of KY jelly
Very comfortable, doesnt have a jarring effect when going over bumps, smooth, yet supple. The GTS feels like a bowling ball (ok maybe not that bad), while this feels like a tennis ball rolling on the ground

Sorry, lots of abstract descriptions above. But I hope this helps
