Yes, a great post. You really can keep swirls away with good technique. I use much of the same techniques (plus a Gilmour foam gun), and barely had to polish out any marring during my "spring cleaning."

I have heard about people using sea sponges, and a lot of people are using "grout sponges," which are available at Lowe's and Home Depot. I've been using a grout sponge lately, and I like it, though I also have mitts around.

If you are looking for a good mitt, the "Eurow" brand sold at Wal-Mart is actually pretty good. Do look around the bunch on the rack for the plusher ones.

To have a nice car and not keep up its appearance would be a crime.
