I personally wouldn't consider them. They weren't available when I did mine, but even if they were, I would have still gone OEM
But, I know a lot of the guys who went with the knockoffs and I can assure you, for the majority of them, it wasn't about the money or cheaping out. They simply don't want to deal with running wires, moving pins around and having to code and have it wiped out by the dealer. It has nothing to do with having an expensive car and cheaping out.
