Aww c'mon! The Lot C cops at LAX wouldn't have any source of revenue if they couldn't wander around looking for front-plateless cars (just what I want my tax dollars spent on, but that's another topic).
That's the only place I've ever been nailed for this in 15 years of driving cars without a front plate (twice, before I learned my lesson and stated using the private Park One lot across Sepulveda). In routine traffic stops I've never been cited for it.
