OP it depends also on how much you want to keep the paint up as well. BMW paints are notorious for being soft and although the clear coat is tough, the paints scratch very easily.

I own two black M BMWs. A Jerez black E90 and black sapphire metallic X5M.

Both are a bitch to maintain. Luckily the M3 I have owned since its birth from factory and have been able to monitor the paint. A pre owned one is a different story and not all car care and respect the paint or the car for that matter.

All the metallic options are great choices into opinion. Can't go wrong with either. Jet black will get a bit boring I would think
