You can ceramic it, you can also PPF. I just had a rep from (3D) come to my shop last week to demo some stuff as i'm thinking to switch over. My father has a Frozen CS on the way, so i started picking his brain and he did say i can ceramic. Some ceramics however do change the appearance of the finish on the frozen paint (which you may or may not like)
As for painting frozen finish, it's extremely challenging. A skilled painter can do it. Is it a pain in the ass, absolutely yes. I think i have some pics of an AMG G wagon in Matte i did awhile back, i'll see if i can dig it up.
Your last question, hand wash... is that a serious question?

I have extremely hard water where I live. I also have four kids 12 and under. Between the two, taking it to a car wash is a win-win for me.
