Not saying the red line oil won't work just fine in your car, but it does not actually carry the oem approval if that is something important to you.

For reference, here is a quick screen shot from the Motul website for one of their popular euro oils. It uses the word "approved " when referring to the oem specs listed since Motul actually has their oil tested and is verified to meet the oem specs.

But my dealer says nay, nay! No 0W-30, no warranty! - just to be clear, I guess due to the OPF we are bound to the LL-04 specification.

Thus I am being forced to use this:

Still a great oil... but somehow it bothers me.
