I had a 2018 m5 and loved it but it had 28k miles after 16 months so got rid of it.
I test drove the panamera Turbo, GT 63s, the M8 comp, the 850 GC. I also had a 2018 E63s for a few months. After all that I ended up with a 2019 M5 comp. Nothing came close to performance, comfort, daily usability and price of the M5.
I really thought I was going to end up ordering an M8 GC but it was $1100 more a month than my M5 which had a $140k sticker. The GT63s on a lease is $2100 a month and that's for a very low optioned model. The panamera Turbo was $3300 a month lol.
