I hear you, I definitely should drive the M550 more, it's not like it's a Ferrari. I just like to keep nice things nice. It is ZERO fun for me to put on snow tires and rims annually and drive a car around to get filthy as shit in and out and full of road salt. It's also no fun dodging winter potholes, that's not enjoying a performance car. I'd rather keep it in the garage and use the cars I care way less about. I also don't need to drive my top car to work 5 miles each way in the summer to sit and bake in the lot and get door dinged in the summer. Just personal hang-ups. Back in the day when my top car was my only car, I had no choice. I am in car accumulation mode these days. I am honestly going to try and keep all my German cars for a long, long time. Do you know how many cars I see on BaT that I had and that I wish I still had? I want to be that guy with a small collection someday. It may be hard to think about a current M550 or M5 being treasured someday, but I thought the same way about my E30 and E39.
Since this will be my first Porsche, I most likely will trade up after a year or two just because I don't know the brand well enough. It took me a lot of BMW's to get really selective.
