The pads were cheap too. EBC red stuff may be worth a try as well, I've heard good things, however I don't have any personal experience with this specific application. According to my indy, the problem with the OEM pads is there is too much steel in them.

Yea I went about a year rolling up to stop lights in my 157k (msrp) turbo s and people would always give me dirty looks. So gauche. Thing sounded like a freight train. Perhaps the most infuriating aspect of the whole thing was that the dealers kept telling me to do 4-5 hard stops in a row - all this did was warp the rotors.

Anyway yea don't buy the oem brembo pads anymore. Performance is good but they sound like sh*t.
