I hope I read your post correctly....you only have to wait 2-3 wks for your first choice? And brand new? A happy wait indeed. My guess is your dealer got your hopes for an immediate car--and the other dealer just did not wish to play along due to needing a demo on sight. Enjoy the wait--it will be sweeter when it comes in.
