I was a salesman at one time awhile back. Sounds like this has been demo'd a bit and they're trying to justify the number of miles that will be on it. When I car is tagged as a "swap/locate" the dealership should mark it up and effectively the car is "sold" meaning that it can't be test driven. If I were you, I'd pass on this and wait for the original car you wanted.
