I believe yes, detectable by dealer. The piggyback tricks the ECU into applying more boost. This is visible through an OBDII port reader, like the p3cars gauge. Assuming the car retains peak boost history, BMW could review those numbers should there be an engine issue. Now, would the actual techs at the service dept notice anything? I doubt it.

All speculation though, as I don't work for BMW.
