that gets you to general navigation, but if your last navigation screen was not map, it will NOT go to map when you hold for two seconds

Pull the controller in the down direction and hold for 2 seconds, then release. It should switch to the last entertainment screen you used.
Now push up and hold for 2 seconds. It will switch to the last communication screen.
Push right and hold, it will switch to the last navigation screen.
Push left and hold, it will switch to the last ventilation screen. Or whatever's over on the left, I forget. I never go there, so I'm sure it's nothing useful. 
If it didn't do anything, maybe you didn't hold it in that direction for a full 2 seconds, or maybe you're not doing it as I described?
