Brand new car and the seats are wrinkeld and look -in my opinion- very cheap.

My 10 yo X1 looks better than that. I specifically pointed to the dealer that there is a problem and when I picked my 2021 X4 still couldn’t find a flawless vehicle in their lot as I wanted them to replace my rear seats. I have bubbly leather in the rear seats and hate them….

From exterior designers to the interior Quality Control people, everyone at BMW is blind?
Different kinds of leather offer different looks and feels... my bet is your 19 yo x1 has sensatec aka fake plastic looks like leather, and the x4 you're looking at has somewhat genuine leather (aka vernasca leather)... look at a higher model car with merino, the second you sit in it it wrinkles because it's real non treated leather so it's soft and meant to wrinkle.
