Dark rims are usually like the cheap steel rims people get with snow tires and still drive them during the summer. And when they are rolling just looks like a black hole, a polished double step lip looks much better on the highway.
Anyhow these are not my rims, just my current # 1 choice to buy.
However my car is exactly the same just with tints on the windows as well. Cheers! all input is always welcomed.

Understood, it's one of the most subjective parts of a car that constitutes beauty to the beholder. For me, I think it's the silver and the sheer amount of metal that leads me to 'cheap' -- you and I are proving the whole 'beauty.. beholder' saying.
The window tints just compound my thinking that darker would look great.
