Yeah, but the Mavic's priced in that range are 50% heavier than the Lightweights and have an aluminum rim glued to the carbon shell. Not nearly the same thing. Mavic's full carbon wheels are $4k and still aren't nearly as light as the LW's. ENVE gets closer, for less money.
The Reynolds RZR wheels are probably the most comparable in terms of weight, but they're still $4,500 and have had some lateral stiffness issues that the LW's tend not to.
