This has been an issue since the early F10 days and there are countless threads on this forum as well as the other M forums. I consider it a "feature" of the car rather than an issue.
From what I can gather, light braking in daily use makes it worse. If you are fairly hard on them, they squeak less.
Also, some have changed pads with success. What it does for warranty claims remains to be seen.
I just took delivery of a 2022 LCI with carbon ceramics. Figured I'd give those a shot to hopefully have less squeal and less dust. 600 miles in and so far so good.
