Hah the questions are fine. Sounds like he's never PPF'd or put ceramic on a car before. I hadn't either until last year and while it seems completely obvious to me now I had no idea about it all before. Even then I scheduled my car to be PPF'd, coated, and tinted before I even took delivery so I could be in the shop's calendar and not have to wait.

OP as you've seen — do it right away. It protects your car and if you're going to do it — the longer you wait the more likely you are to get rock chips. If you don't have a flat/matte finish it's worth considering just doing the front of the car and high impact areas for PPF. Ceramic goes on the whole car and I strongly recommend doing the wheel faces (and barrels) + brake calipers.

If your shop does tinting and you are planning to tint it .. I recommend doing it at the same time. Not because it needs to but all these things take time and not having your car for several days. Nice to get it all out of the way at once. Good luck.
