C&D finally got its hands on a Plaid and did a full review. Overall, very disappointing.

In summary here are the issues / problems.

* Sketchy steering with limited road feedback

* Very weak brakes particularly considering the brutal acceleration the car can generate.

* C&D noted that unlike Elon's claims of 200 MPH, the car was limited to 160 MPH and C&D felt certain that no one would feel safe going 200 MPH given the sketchy steering and weak brakes.

* Stability control cannot be defeated and is too limiting / intrusive.

* Low skid pad numbers.

Overall, it appears the Plaid generates competitive times on race tracks by going really fast on the straights and slower through the corners than its competitors.

Given all of this, I would not want to trade my M5C LCI for a Plaid. I can see I will likely be much happier with a second or third generation Porsche Taycan or Audi e-tron GT once they get the range up to 350+ miles and add a bit more power.
