Inevitable. The car's development was always with the M DKG transmission so that is the car they spend more time developing that particular transmission.
The manual was always an afterthought for the M5 E60 and M5 F10M.
Hence Former BMW M CEO Gerhard Richter's comments on the manual E60 "
Gentlemen its shit!"
The new car according to those that have tested it works in complete symphony with the F90 so it is more adapted to the car for every conceivable use.
Besides with a car like the M5 and indeed as an owner of the 30 Jahre edition.
Simply setting into drive whilst leaving city traffic is far more comfortable than constantly rowing gears.
As the consolation though the lower and entry M cars will still use manuals. Until customers tell us otherwise. The first BMW X3 M and X4M will not feature manuals as they are not that kind of vehicle that would use a manual.
But the Z5 and Z5M will offer a manual as it is a sports car.
