This was the first MB that I had owned. The car was very fast, 2.81 0-60. It also was A much firmer ride. I enjoyed the car but have been a long time previous M5 owner, 9 m5's since 2001. I only have 500 miles on my new 5 and the Mercedes definitely felt faster and rawer. Just wanted a change.

So now the e63s is faster than the m5? Seems everyone else says the m5 is proven faster. Also, e63s was doing 0-60 in 2.8 stock or tuned? Can't beleieve that's a stock car.

Must have been tuned for 2.81.
Mercedes claimed 3.3-3.4, car and driver and many other outlets got 3-3.1 with rollout.
Which is a very respectable number, but the 2018 BMW M5 (non competition) got 2.8 0-60 with car and driver for an apples to apples comparison.
While it may feel or be raw-er (never drove it as I couldn't stand the newer Mercedes, every trim piece creaks, trust me, push on your dash trim, guaranteed), the numbers don't lie, F90 M5 is the king of luxo-barges
