Remove it and put your toe hook in. In the event the track crew needs to tow your car, it will help them get you off faster and with less damage to your car. I've heard of them hooking to your front end if there is no tow hook and that simply means damage to your car. Also, as a courtesy to others, the faster they get you out of trouble, the sooner the track can reopen.
