I would love to know how many kWh it truly takes to charge a Tesla battery.

Rates are now between $0.10/kWh and $0.20/kWh and heading the wrong way like fuel and everything else!

I'm seeing posts saying 34kW per 100 miles. If those posts are correct:

So that ranges out to $3.40 to $6.80 per 100 mi vs 5 gallons at $4.50 = $22.50 for M5

Or if normal car using 87 and getting 30 mpg, $14.17

A Tesla looks to be around $50k to $70k for something halfway decent, payback would be around 3,400 gallons for M5, 6,500 gallons for regular car.
