This happened to my wife’s Cayenne and only thing I could think of is as mentioned the AC hoses being clogged. Not sure if the bmws could have the same issue but it was a fairly easy fix just unclogging it.
It is pretty interesting you saying it could be related to the downpipes. I wonder how that would be possible.
Hope you can get it resolved asap
