Horsepower sells cars, torque wins races.
Torque is that awesome, HAND-OF-GOD shove-in-the-back that you get when you romp the throttle from a standstill. It's really a lot more fun in an AWD vehicle because you don't have to worry about wheelspin, but if you judiciously apply the throttle in a RWD car, it can be lots of fun too.
