Good points for and against doing something as risky as a cannonball run. But given the fact we are in a big country with lots of open land in the middle of two major oceans, have automobiles and interstates it's inevitable someone is going to do it. Breaking records usually involves risk and often breaking the law. This is just another one.
Regarding going 150 mph plus for 25 hours straight that is inaccurate not to mention impossible. There are states and "some" expanses of interstate and highway and certain times of the day and night where that can be accomplished with minimal risk by a professional driver in the right car. I happen to live in one of those states, Nevada. We have many stretches of Highway that in the right car with a competent driver those speeds can be attained safely for fairly long periods.
I'm not condoning it, jus sayin.
