Now to you question about stock springs
The rear are progressive springs but, so are the front at some degree. Single rate spring needs to be consistent from front to back without reducing the body and pitch or the ends, on stock springs you can see begin and the end coil being reduced

Miko - the front are linear it seems, typical.
I wish someone would make the rear linear too, it is much more predictable at turns.
