The car I was *going* to buy has been stuck on quality check since the beginning of August! I think cars in this status must be waiting on parts that are simply not yet available.
I resorted to searching for cars on lots exclusively, and got lucky. I think it's a total crapshoot and will continue to get worse before it gets better, unfortunately.
