I'm finishing my fellowship this summer and starting my first real job in September. Other finances are in order, but not to the level that I can start paying for a car of this magnitude until I start and have full surgeon's income (having a baby next month, so poor timing).

So lets say I can get the car any time after 9/1. As of right now I like the 2020s and unless the 2021 LCI blows everyone away, I'll probably just stick with that. Whats the last I can order a 2020? I'd be doing a standard color and a Aragon full, so shouldn't have to wait long for individual options.

Whats the process - call local dealer, talk specs and then how to negotiate pricing? I'm down to lease or buy, I'm just worried that I might go over in miles, probably closer to 15k/yr. I dont have a BMW currently, so I dont have leverage, not sure if I qualify for the mega deals.
