I've had something similar happen once. The parking brake warning light went on after driving for a couple of minutes and I realized it wasn't quite all the way down. Now I've been driving for over fifteen years and haven't had this problem. Now I'm just extra careful to make sure the Bimmer's brake is
completely released.
