I know that this is an old post. But I would like to add that personally I would love this on my F90 LCI, as it can definitely help reduce stone chipping to the paint. Autotecknic have them in carbon fiber too. They're quite large and more noticeable I think though.

I have had the OEM ones and changed to the carbon. They are pretty much the same as far as size and shape. The carbon ones are def more noticeable though especially since my car is grey.
