We just did a six hour drive one way with the car and it was great. Everyone was comfortable and all the luggage (with stroller) fit in the trunk.
On a side note, the gas mileage is great on the highway. I averaged 25 mpg while normally I get around 17 when driving around town (mixed local and highway).
