I totally agree, absolutely do not pay someone to do this as it can be super expensive. Nowadays the consumer grade product line for most ceramics are more the sufficient with proper application. I would recommend you do your research before deciding on a brand. I've used cquartz in the past and it held up well. For my M5 I applied Gyeon Mohs and followed that up with the Gyeon Booster. The water beading seems to be better with this product but time will tell in how it holds up. Do a proper paint correction (wash, iron remover, clay, polish) before applying any ceramic coating.
