Whilst there are some pretty poor quality aftermarket glass products (made by various manufacturers in different parts of the world) I'm yet to see any compelling evidence to support any suggestion that some glass is more susceptible to stone damage than others.
Picking up a stone damage at 6k miles versus escaping any damage after 14 is more about luck/bad luck, non?

Every time there's a post about windscreens you reply, never hear from you otherwise! 
My original screen already had 2 or 3 stone chips before the final one hit, each time i heard a stone strike it left a chip! And the new screen has had numerous stone strikes, but every time they leave no damage. Maybe it could be luck/coincidence, but that's one hell of a coincidence!  |
