Battery? I drive every day, elective surgeries may be down but emergencies and trauma go on.....and if the shutdown last long enough to cause a battery problem, hell the battery will be the last thing I'll worry about. How about the loss in net worth? My retirement curve has been flattened. I think most here will not be getting a dime of money from the government to 'cover your losses' but will be paying higher taxes for the rest of your life to cover the bailouts. And as I have told other before, having a job and a paycheck in the 'down times' does not do you much good if Walmart is out of toilet paper and food. The whole thing makes me sad, but when I read about 'my battery' and just chuckle.
