That's normal. I'm not sure if this is the exact reason but there is a valve on the left exhaust that opens and closes the left exhausts at times. If you pull out the cable that connects the power to that valve, the left will remain open 24/7 and you should have even exhaust buildup on each side. This also makes it nicer sounding.
