Got into accident with Avalon. Market value on ebay/craiglist/autotrader at similar mileage is about 2800-3200, but I think I can get 1500 on retail if lucky.

My 98 Maxima is my DD, I wish cars like that were still built. I highly doubt Nissan intended on building cars that just went on for 17+ years without any major repairs, it just happened. The reason I drive it is I don't worry about dings/scrapes etc. With my 335i, I absolutely curb one side, although I have put it in the middle when not possible to curb. My wife's we usually curb as well, but even so, it got dinged 3X.
My next DD will be a GTI Autobahn perf pkg manual, unless something else offers the same bang for buck. I don't think Japanese make such a car anymore. They certainly don't make sticks at almost any price (with a few exceptions but Subarus are fugly)
