In theory. BMW claims 0.1 seconds faster. Car and driver measured 0.2 seconds slower. AKA a wash.

As far as the transmission, nobody has been able to post updated specs or internals besides it is rated for 10 NM (~7 ft lb) more torque, aka another wash.

I wouldn't buy a new one solely for those reasons.
