If you are all set financially and have a job that will be stable through a deep recession then time to shop for a deal. In the next few weeks I would expect to see very deep discounts on vehicles like the M5. In 2008 I got my E90 M3 for 24% off list as an example.

yeah my father was warning me about it , because i know houses are about to be on the drop and i do have cash set asside for that , and i was thinking about my 8k sales tax that i might lose if i dont buy something next 30 days but your totally right about it being a depreciating asset a bad one ! i think i will weather out the storm for a new m5 and wait til this collapses and get even a better deal than i got on mine
